Question:

I have a 14 ft. flat bottom boat. A wind storm threw it up against a tree. A slight bend in the opposite dir.?

direction. Filled it with water. One set of ribbits across the bottom are leaking slightly. Is there any safe materials that would stop these leaks. Remember we are talking aluminum

  2. My favorite of the epoxy sealer is "Glovet" -It comes in 2 parts and is carmel colored. The correct way to repair this would be to pull the leaking ribs and patch from the inside. Then rivet new ribs over top of the patch. You can also sprinkle aquarium gravel on the mix before it hardens and have a nice no-skid surface. Silicone sealer is good for windows, but if you have any gasoline near it, it will turn to bacon(shrivel up and become unstuck)

  3. silicon caulking should do the trick, clean surface first
