It is 15 inches and its just the speaker, it works great and it really belonged to an organ. I want to make a speaker box for it, I only have one speaker. What will I need to make a speaker box for it? What kind of plywood, particle board? What do you recommend me doing? I'm not stupid and I kinda know what to do but I just want to get the details, do i need to make air holes? How can I make it loud? The bigger the box, the louder it is? What if the box is just big enough to fit the speaker in....how will the box effect the bass and loudness? I appreciate it, and I know I'm asking for a lot hear but you don't have to answer everything, just what you know or whatever, thanks a lot!

  1. Your speaker would need a box about 20" by 20" minimum, surely too big for a car. 1 speaker will not handle stereo, as most systems are. I made myself a quality bass bin with 12 mm ply. It worked, but was 20" by 36".

  2. that speaker should be designed for only one type of sound. Bass. so you would need an amp, all the wiring, and a box about similar or larger to the original sized box it was in. a ported box(one with holes) would also help to make it sound better. in all this would cost about 150 for the box,200 for the amp, and 100 to install the wries(including labor). if you are really into sounds you should buy another sub, but its your choice. no pressure.

  3. I had 1 15" sub in my lincoln ls it fit perfectly fine besides that i also had it in my 95 mustang. tight fit but it does fit. and all you need is 1 15" sub in your car people that need 2 or more are running 8 10 or 12 inch subs
