  1. Run at a slow pace until there's about 500-600 metres left, then gradually speed up until the end of the race. This is how I got 1st place when I did it. Good Luck, hope you win!

  2. let someone else lead the way see how it develops keep pace with the front runners then kick for home on the last lap

  3. JUST RUN RUN RUN RUN RUN RUN !!!!!!

    AND WIN

  4. Don't start off to fast...but when starting off try to get in front and so you don't get locked in the middle of the pack(thats the worse cause its hard to get out).Keep a steady pace throughout untill the last lap start picking it up...Once you hit the 200 meter mark start pumping it even more...Then when you hit the 100 meter mark just take off as fast as you can.

Good Luck in your race tomorrow and i hope i was a big help to you!

  5. I don't think too many people agree with this, but before a race I like to drink a good amount of water and then get s little bit of coffee, or even better espresso.  If I do it about an hour before a race I get pretty hyper at race time.  I like espresso because it isn't too much liquid and I don't worry about dehydrating too much.

Also, if you can listen to music while you run (iPod with some running headphones) you can get a little more excited to run.

I don't like to be super crowded when I'm racing so I usually try to get space from people around me and pick groups of people to pass as I'm going.  This way I spend most of my time uncrowded.

Finally, start slow, finish fast.  You can pass tons of people in the last few hundred meters.

  6. Keep a steady pace until near the end and sprint like h**l!!

Also take long steps when running it doesnt tire you out as easy

    P.S GOOD LUCK!!
