  1. 1800 watts divided by the voltage you are going to be running = the amperage you have available.

How many amps does the unit draw?

  2. Sounds like it would be an 1800w air conditioner.

Start up is what you have to worry about.

If it pulls more than 14 amps during start-up, your 1800w generator may not pull it.

Try it and find out. I have a pipe threader that I use on my 1875w generator. But I can only do it with a short heavy extension cord. I mean a large, heavy, but short cord.

  3. 1800 watts at 120 volts = 15 Amps.   A very small 5000 BTU will work but be a strain.

  4. Not going to happen ! Even a small 5,000 watt window unit will require more amperage than your generator is capable of handling.
