  1. Jewelry is often worth more that the value of the gold in it.  After all, someone with some artistic skill made the bracelet out of the gold.  But in any case, the bracelet is never worth less than the gold in it.

Look up the price of gold here:

The price varies constantly, and is expressed in $US / troy ounce.  A troy ounce weighs 31.1 grams.  The price, by the way, is for 24K "pure" gold.  18K gold is 18 parts gold, and 6 parts something else, probably including copper and silver, but possibly nickel or palladium.  So if we multiply your 14.5 gr bracelet by 18/24, we see your bracelet contains 10.875 gr of 24K gold.

Checking the "bid" price as I write this, it is $893.60 / troy ounce, or $28.73 / gr.  Multiply the $28.73 by 10.875, and the gold in your bracelet is worth about  $312.44

  2. it is worth more as a nice piece of jewelry than it is selling it for "scrap" gold-you will get less than $20 as scrap gold.

  3. $298.16 for 14.5 grams 18K gold

Answer is based on: $909 per oz (for 24K gold)

    18K is 75% pure

    18 / 24 = 75% pure

    1 gram = $20.56 per gram
