cup but just wont drink milk at all for 2 days, so i just give her 180mls bottle in the morning and of an evening, stopped the lunch time one, she drinks lots of water, and started eating more food after stopping lunch bottle. Is this o.k or should l stop bottles all together, how much milk should they get at this age? Just a bit scarred because she is small...

  1. Hmm i live in America and what the doctors told me is if you give your baby too much milk he/she will have lower iron levels. What we did for our daughter is we got sippy cups made by Nuby. They have a soft top and its the closest sippy cup resembling a bottle. Once she is used to that for about a couple of moths then you can move on to regular plastic sippy cups

    This is what we use:

  2. Usually bottle feedings stop at around 1 year.  Your doing the right thing by taking away the lunch bottle and giving her food. In regards to her weight one, could it be genetic? Two, drinking lots of water can contribute to her little weight. Water helps flush out your system, thus drinking a lot of it help things more right along. It's great that she drinks lots of water! Also she's only 19 months, you must know that her metabolism is very fast, and I'm sure she's running around playing, and being a little girl, and using tons of energy. I wouldn't be worried about her weight too much if it worries you talk to your doctor about adding pediasure to her diet. Every child is different and for an exact calorie count you should talk to your doctor.

About the sippy cup, try pouring something she loves to drink in it, so that she wants to drink from it. Your doing a great job don't worry too much!

  3. 2 7oz bottles are more than enough at this age. so stop the rest of them and introduce more foods different tastes etc but try not to let her drink too much because his will just suppress her appetite and she will feel too bloated to eat. i hope this helps
