I have a 1975 johnson 6hp power that dose not pump water could someone give me a eazy annswer please?

First of all DO NOT RUN the motor or you will cause serious damageto it when it overheats.  It sounds like the water pump impeller needs replacement.  If you are not familiar with motors, best to take it to a local marina repair shop to get it fixed.

before you change out the water pump....check the hose that it pees out of.....sometimes they get clogged up and need to be cleaned out. If that is cleaned out but no water coming out......time for a new water pump. The lower unit will need to come off, but the pump is pretty simple to change out. If you are not familiar with this....take it to the shop.......should not be more than $175.00 to fix. DO NOT RUN THE ENGINE UNTIL REPAIRED. IT CAN OVERHEAT.
