    Then it is worth less than two-tenths of a US cent in exchange value.

    In 1993, Mexico re-valued the Peso, making 1000 old Pesos (which include the 1982s) equal to one new Peso, which is worth about 10 cents at current exchange rates:

    That makes the older Pesos worth about 1/100th (0.01) of a cent, or an old 20 Pesos coin worth about 2/10ths (0.2) of a cent.

    In numismatic value to coin collectors, my venerable old 1999 Standard Catalog of World Coins gives a value of $1 retail in average circulated condition.  But this copper-nickel coin had a very large mintage - over 200 million - so I'm not sure how this value was arrived at; it seems wildly high.

    Generally, modern copper and copper-nickel Mexican coins like this one, as well as other common, modern world coins, sell for a few pennies each in bulk lots on eBay.
