I took the clutch out to fix a problem with the gears and when i put it all back together, the clutch cable is doesn't feel connected even though i didn't touch anything on that side of the bike and am sure i put everything back in the right order and nothing is missing. Can anyone tell me what i've done wrong because i can't afford to take it to a garage.

  1. did you remember to put the thrust washer back in

hope it didn't fall in the motor

  2. Did you leave out the ball bearing? - very common mistake.

  3. If you have the clutch cable hooked up properly, then the most likely cause would be the clutch boss, which is the part that the springs install onto. It is designed to fit on only one way out of about 6-7 possible configurations.
