  1. Not much to it , first right a diagram for the spark plug wires going to ignition coil and the plugs , then be sure to disconnect the battery before unplugging the coil and removing the spark plug wires and the screws that hold the coil into place.

    Be sure if installing a used ignition coil to use fine sandpaper or wire brushes and clean the spark plug connectors on it before installing.

    Hope that helps and best of luck.By the way keep in mind on that age of a vehicle it might be best to just go to a big do it yourself auto wreckers and look for a coil in mint shape as possible , note if the coil has any cracks or swelling or dis-colouring or bulges in it's housing it's no good .Also some parts outlets offer free print outs and diagrams with installation info to the public too plus if you buy a service manual it should tell you also how to use a meter to help diagnose the coil.
