I have a 1994 Kawasaki klx 250 and i am having issues with kick starting and high altitudes. any suggestions?

i don't know how to adjust the pilot jet and need help. does anyone know how to adjust the carb on a 1994 Kawasaki klx250? i did have it drilled out. does that need other adjustments? help please!

  1. The pilot jet only affects carb speeds from 0 - 1/4 throttle opening.

    In other words, once you get out of the idle circuit, the pilot jet has no effect.

    The main jet is what you should be concerned with when adjusting for altitudes.

  2. Wouldn't you want the pilot jet smaller, not larger? Maybe I have it backwards.
