I have a 1994 bmw 325is and it shifts hard when it shouldn't, I was told it has a sealed tranny can you help ?

I don't think it needs a new transmission, Does anyone know anything else that can cause this?

There is something I bought at Walmart (of all places!), that you put right into the tranny fluid, and it helps transmissions. I used it in my grand prix, and my girlfriends mechanic recommended it for her 328is, and it worked great for her to. For the life of me, I cannot remember what it's called! I know it costs about $6.00...
