I have a 1996 honda accord with an a/c problem

When the car is first started and a/c is turned on all is working clutch,fans,blower motor,doors for hot and cold air, problem is a/c is blowing hot and freon is good and holding pressure,can anyone help me please!

  1. It sounds to me like your metering device is stuck open. I'm not exactly sure what kind of metering device your car uses but if you have refrigerent and holding pressure and everything else is working, then it sounds like thats the only thng thats not working. If your compressor is running normal and you have both high and low side readings that are about the same then it is definately your metering device. Depending on the part and where it is located depends on the price. Good Luck


  2. it would help if you would have given the gauge readings. sounds like the expansion valve may be bad.
