I will be travelling across Australia shortly. Some of the places I will be stopping will not have the right fuel for my bike. Can I add an octane booster? Or will this damage the engine.

  1. i would have thought all the servos over the nullabour would have at least a 95ron fuel by now.   i might be wrong, but there are lots of cars now that specify 95+

but if i am wrong theres nothing wrong with using a booster

  2. octane boosters will work

    Here is one product

Here is a page of homebrew/emergency mixes.

read the cautions before using them but if you must use octane boosters you will have an idea of what they are, even if they come in a can.

If you don't have O2 sensers or catalytic converters on your motor it is still possible to buy leaded products (extremely poisonous)
