I have a 1999 f-250 w/CNG alternate fuel ,Can I remove it altogeather.Help?

  1. The CNG  is in lieu of a fuel injected gasoline  carburetor. Finding the parts to replace the CNG should not be a difficulty, but don't forget to deal with fuel tank and lines, filler opening, fuel pump, and filter... in effect get a complete parts list for the base machine.

    Can you do it yourself? I would have been able to do so a few years back, with an appropriate shop manual.

    If however you look around you may find someone wishing to buy components for your CNG system.

    Because CNG gives you such a clean burn I would expect your truck will be good for a long time.

  3. Anything is possible,  of course. But a system designed from scratch might not be worth removing. If you don't like it, it'd probably be cheaper/easier to just sell it.
