if that is enough room then i have the option of buying a table from pooltables-direct or just buying a Olhausen in Tulsa. i pretty much know the answer on buying the table (just wanting to back up my decision). what i really want to know is the room size.

  1. The general rule of thumb is to have at least 4' of space on each side of the table but that is cutting it very close considering a cue is typically over 51" long. So, a cue ball against the rail means you'll be jacking your cue up if you have to hit it head on. You COULD get a 9' foot table but there wouldn't be room for anything else except pictures on the walls and some limited space in the corners. I hope that helps.

  2. Yeah, that's enough space. You could even get a 9' if you wanted. Here's a link to a room chart.

BTW, I'd go with the Olhausen if you want a nice table.

  3. yes, enjoy

  4. yep table is 6 by 4

  5. Yes, a 4x8 table has a standard playing surface of 44"x 88" and requires a room 13'8" x 17'4" for use with standard 57" cues.  The best price deal is going to be with Pool Tables Direct and if this is the company I know in Canada they do have quality tables for the lowest price.
