  1. You cannot transmit the AIDS virus through casual contact.  If that were the case, the entire world would have been infected by now.

  2. Sweetie, HIV is not contracted that way. It has to be bodily fluids that touch or mix.. I understand your worry but just wash her hand. they will be fine

  3. I think your biggest fear right now should be you possibly transmitting bigotry and fear to your infant.  Try washing your brain next time.

You don't get HIV from touching dry skin to dry skin.  If it were otherwise my brother would have passed it to many hundreds of people - but he passed HIV to no one, it can only be transmitted through intimate touches involving body fluids on the part of both people.

  4. HIV/AIDS is only transmitted by:  blood, breastmilk, s***n, vaginal fluids.  Your child is fine.  The only way it could have been given to your child is if they both had a cut on their hand.  If you want to ease your mind, wait 6 months and have a blood test done.  It can take up to 6 months to get positive if your child is infected.

  5. you cannot get Aids that way.  It has to be in contact with bodily fluids.

  6. I understand that you are concerned for your child's health, but it is people  with your mindset that make me angry. You CANNOT contract HIV/AIDS via skin to skin contact!!! It is true that HIV/AIDS causes a lowered immune system, but it is highly unlikely that your child would get something from that person that they wouldn't get from anyone else on the street!

  7. not to worry. that's not how its transmitted.

    its only in body fluids.

The amount of HIV virus found in different body fluids varies even in the same HIV infected person. s***n and vaginal fluids have high concentrations, higher than blood while other fluids such as saliva and perspiration have much lower amounts of the virus in them. Different parts of the body also have varying ability to resist the entry of HIV the virus that causes AIDS.

Intact skin can not be penetrated by HIV while mucous membranes, especially when inflamed, are easily penetrated.

  8. Your baby isn't going to get it via skin contact, but I know I'd probably do the same thing that you did even with knowing it's pretty much impossible.....Don't worry, your baby doesn't have HIV

  9. She cannot get AIDS from touching her hand.  It is always a good idea to wash your child's hands though if anyone touches them since babies hands tend to go in their mouth.

  10. You can not get or give HIV/Aides from skin to skin contact but washing your children's hands is a good idea.

  11. you cannot contract aids by hand contact. see the transmission facts on the link below.

  12. you can not get aids from sin to sin contact and even thru saliva it has to be so much that it is almost impossible your child would need to have an open wound and the person with aids to be bleeding .......your child will be fine and the person with aids would know what to do if they were bleeding anywhere and im sure they would not put your baby at risk

  13. No, the opportunistic infections that a person with AIDS is susceptible to are never seen in healthy infants, even very young ones. You have nothing to worry about.

  14. Did nobody get that she's not concerned about HIV, but other illnesses this person might have, since his/her immune system is not up to par?
