I have a 2 years lease which expieres 8/09. i am ready to move out. what can I do as far as my lease?

I am in the proccess of bying a house. i have lived in this appartment fo 3 years. my current renewed leased will expire august 2009. How can I get out it without being penalize?

  1. It depends, what does your lease state? Is there a buy out option, do you have to give 30 days? It's all about the lease, if it says there are penalties, you will be stuck paying. If you have a cool landlord though, talk to them and see if they will let you off easy, but dont wait you will not get out good without plenty of notice, more than 30 days if you can.


  2. YOU CAN'T.

    If everyone could just break a lease whenever they felt like it - then what would be the point of ever having one???

    You CAN get out of your lease - but it WILL cost you.  How much it will cost depends on your state and your landlord's policy. And it will not look good on your credit.

  3. You can't. You signed a lease and have to pay the penalty.
