I currently have a 3 stripe damsel, a scooter dragonet, a pink tip anemone, 3 feather dusters, a coral banded shrimp, a sally light foot crab, button coral polyps, and one bladed plant. There are two live rocks that take up a majority of the back of the tank. I was wanting a maroon clown and a fire angel. Is that possible?

  1. You should get clown fish and any other you like!

  2. You are very over stocked the blenny the damsels (which you need 2 more of) both need a minimum of 30 gallons as does the clown and angel, upgrade your tank to a 55 or stick with small gobies and fire fish.

  3. tangs are nice, very colorful, like the yellow, or blue tangs. i think the clown and fire angels are possibe, we had both. you tank may be too small tho...

  4. Your tank is too small for Maroon Clowns (need 30 gals minimum) and the Fire Angel (presume you mean Centropyge loricula) needs 40 gals minimum.

I think you're pretty much stocked in your tank. Adding clownfish could also caused upset with your damsels.

I would have said consider a small goby or blenny, but your damsels might be too much for them as they can be quite timid.

  5. Figure one inch of fish for each gallon of water. If all your fish, put end to end, equals 20, then that would be the maximum number of fish to use.

I think you're approaching the limit and IMO would stick with what you have.  Why not consider more plants?
