  1. They make a vitamin/mineral liquid supplement for kids that age.  Ask your pharmacist what is the best for your child.

  2. I have talked to pediatricians about vitamins for children.  I was told that as long as they are eating a healthy diet, not losing weight, and growing properly then there is no reason for vitamins.  Vitamins are designed to help people who have deficiencies, illness or who are going without healthy food and regular meals.

  3. my daughter has been on vitamins since she was 10 months, when she weened off the bottle. she is just fine.

  4. why does she need to take vitamins anyways??

if you're feeding your child properly she should be getting all the vitamins and nutrients she needs.

no offense, some people are too nutso over vitamins. there is such thing as too much can be harmful, even with vitamins.

  5. Your child should have started vitamins as soon as she started on regular milk.  Ask your doc or pharmacist what kind they suggest.

  6. Talk to the pediatrician but usually they will approve a childrens vitamins or atleast infant/toddler drops after 12 months old.

  7. My son is 8 months and has taken them since he was 2 months old.  My pediatrician recommended that he take them.  Gerber makes them.  They are liquid and my son loves the taste.  Another plus is they are given from a dropper, and now when I need to give him Tylenol there is no problem because he is used to taking the vitamins!  If you have any questions just ask the pediatrician!
