i have a 2000 115hp yamaha outboard engine, and the alarm goes off after a few minutes in full throttle. i changed the water pump and stuff, so i'm thinkin the boat store sold me the wrong water pump plate. But not really sure though

  1. overheating. fix it or kill it.


  2. What alarm is it ? most motors have different alarms, could be a fuel starvation alarm,,

  3. Matt, you are asking for trouble by using full throttle. Keep your throttle down to 80% and you will still have 90% of top speed, and your boat and motor will last much longer, and your gas consumption will drop a lot. By staying a full throttle you are destroying your engine.
