When this happens, I put in neutral and it rev up fine. But, I put it back in gear it fails to plane. After about 10 minutes of idling, it finally planes and I usually don't have any issues for the rest of the day. Don't have any idea what the issue.

Thanks!

  1. do u have power trim tilt? the higher the motor the higher the plane the lower the motor, the lower the plain cheers brendan

  2. I think you are describing a lack of power or RPM's?  If it is happening when you first head out, check your automatic choke to make sure it is working properly.  Possibly it isn't closing enough to give the cold engine enough fuel or it is sticking shut for a bit after the engine has warmed up.  Or it could be a carburetor mixture problem.  Otherwise it could be fuel pump, throttle linkage, or governor control.

  3. If you have power trim maybe something is not wired correctly or is loose. I suggest you take it to a trusted marina and ask someone there to drive it and see what they think...

  4. Sounds l electrical need to take it to some 1 that can check out the electronics>
