  1. the make and model of a car is unimportant concerning this issue. It appears that your battery may have two or more cells that can not hold a charge resulting in the battery dying.

  2. Yea you have a short or a draw somewhere.

Our church van had a problem with the wireing and it caused the dumb thing to die

  3. I had the same problem turned out the battery cables needed cleaning. Is there a bunch of corrosion on the battery posts. If it is side post it is hard to see. try the cable connection on the battery first then maybe the cable is bad itself

  4. What color dye? - I'm guessing the problem is somewhere between the steering wheel and the driver's seat.

    Only kidding :0)

2000? is it the original battery? if so, that could be the problem. If not you could also check the terminals. Does your battery need water and or acid refill? these would be the things to check if you are sure your alternator is still good. If all are okay than you have something drawing power from it.

  5. Interior light left on, shorted starter, bad radio, or bad battery. Disconnect the ground and put a test light between the cable and post. If it lights up you have a short in the system. Finding it can be a long process, I suggest professional help.

  6. it might be the voltage regulator.

  7. bad cell in battery or something is staying on like dome light or your cellphone charger glove box light under hood light ext..

  8. You could have a bad battery.  Also if you have an aftermarket alarm system they can draw your battery down.  Also check that your lights (brake, courtesy, etc.) aren't staying on.

  9. radio with power booster maybe

    get smaller pulley for alt

turn off radio 15 min before parking

    never play with car off

  10. You have a draw in the electrical system, or the battery has a bad cell. You could bring the battery to an auto parts store and have them check it. If it is good when you put it back in, connect the negative cable, then touch the positive cable to the battery if you see a spark hold it on there for a couple seconds, then tap it against the terminal a few times if it sparks every time you have a draw.

That could be any number of things first things to check and easiest would be check and make sure your interior lights (including visor lights and glove box light are turning off, and if you have an aftermarket radio disconnect it and recheck. If those are good you are probably going to get help from a garage or somebody who knows about automotive electric ( that doesn't mean the guy who installs radios with butt connectors) find someone good.

Just because a battery is new doesn't mean it is good (it most likely is) but check anyways that is the easiest fix.
