I have a 2000 ford mustang v6. Where is the automatic gas shutoff? and is it easy to take out?

I want to remove it to go faster people, why can't i?? whats so bad if i do? its just to go faster

  1. It is in the trunk. On the drivers side behind the panel. Why do you want to take it out?


  2. Leave it alone. What are you planning, to torch the thing?

  3. Your talking about 2 different things here. The gas shut off is a switch that during an accident shuts the fuel pump off to keep it from pumping.  Your looking for the speed limiter which is controled by the computer.  You need to get an aftermarket programer that eliminates or allows you to raise the setting. There usualy set over 100mph anyway so wtf do you need to be going that fast for amyway?

  4. I have to ask - why would you WANT to take it out? It's what stands between you and being barbecued in a roll over...

  5. Back in the trunk, But do not remove it, it"s a safety feature in case of an accident.
