I have a 2001 Mazda 626 and i need to know where the gas tank is located beneath the vehicle??

I just need to know where, beneath the car, it is located...I went to autozone and the salesmen said i can hit the tank with a rubber mallet a little bit, just enough for the fuel pump can unclog and pump enough gas for the car to start

my friend that will not work, why..... old fuel pumps maybe with a hit can make a cable make contact and fuel pump will work

in the newer models the fuel pump is attach with the fuel filter too, when the filter is plugged it kill the pump

take down your fuel tank and replace the fuel pump

it is in the rear of the car just ubove the rear suspension there are 2 metal straps holding it in place they should be black
