I have a 2001 dodge neon and the radio wont turn on. I'm guessing its a fuse but what kind of fuse and where?

  1. Gloria, please ignore Rod B. Replacing a fuse with a larger amperage is a sure way to start a fire in your Neon. True, the fuse won't blow, but the higher amperage will melt the insulation off the wires.


  2. Look in your owners manual and it will have picture of your fuse box.  It will tell you which fuse runs your radio.  Find your fuse box and pull out the fuse.  If it looks burnt, replace the fuse with the same number on it.

  3. if you have the owners manual or the cover of the fuse panel either one it will tell which fuse is for the radio,its always on the back side of the fuse cover ,it tells which one it is and what size to put back in it,good luck.

  4. Well Most Fuse boxes are under the dash board or sometimes even in the engine compartment, and a radio fuse is normally a 25, but I suggest you upgrade your radio fuse to 30 so it wont blow as easy next time. I hope this helps you out
