Question:

I have a 2001 mustang that wont start. It does not turn over. Changed the battery and cleaned the posts. ?

It seems to be electrical. Not sure if it is a fuse, or a cut off switch with the clutch.

  1. the motor may be locked up frozen


  2. if you hear a single click,and the cable get warm ,then you have a bad starter,shorted...

    if you hear a click and cable is not warm you have a loose connection ,,,worn out brush

    no click at all,,maybe switch ,neutral switch,or clutch switch ,or loose connection on the starting circuit

  3. without more detail in what it is or isn't doing it is hard to tell, it could be a lot of different things from your neutral safety switch to just a bad ground. many possibilities......

  4. check your 75 amp starter fuse it should be bolted on the outside of the fuse panel under the hood
