I would like to get some kicker subs, but I don't know if i should go with 10 or 8s? I am trying to put new subs with new box because someone broke into my truck and took the two 10 kickers with box, and amps. So yeah i got jacked. I am trying to get new ideas to put in my new system?

I used to have a box on the back of my back seats, but the problem was that i had to put my seats facing forward all the time to get the bass sound and that's the reason i got jacked, pretty much. I am open to new ideas thanks.

  1. Really depends on what you want out of your system.

Generally, the smaller the sub, the quicker the response rate which translates into real punchy bass.  However, I think 8s may be a little small unless they are going to be powered strongly (i.e. matching up RMS ratings exactly).  I think 2 10s matched up to a good 2 channel amp is the best combination of punchy-ness and loudness.

As you are well aware, showing off your car audio is not a good idea.  I suggest maybe getting tints for the car or placing the subs in a more hidden location.
