Question:

I have a 2002 chevy malibu and recently every time i brake the car feels like its gonna die out and stalls???

i just got an oil change does anyone have any suggestions of what it could be????????

  1. Oil Change may be just a coincidense.  However, they could have accidently knocked a vacuum line loose or the hose near the mass air flow sensor didn't get back on tight when they checked your air filter.  These items could have come loose a week or so later.  Just bumping a vacuum line or not quite getting the air box hose tight might cause it.

    Maybe not however.  You could have an idle air control valve acting up a little or possibly a throttle position sensor starting to act up.


  2. Does this happen at road speeds when slowing down? If so it is possible the TCC sloenoid in the transmission is not unlocking the torque convertor. If it happens at idle and press on the brakes you might have a vacuum leak internal to the brake booster. Either way have it checked out.
