It does it more when it's hot outside... it will just weirdly scramble and show all types of characters and numbers, sometimes its completely fine, but now that summer's coming more times than not it's ilegible. Any suggestions, I'm guessing it's some sort of sensor, but would like to know what kind, how much it would cost to replace it, how difficult it would be to replace it etc.

it looks like this http://www.edmunds.com/apps/vdpcontainers/do/MediaNav/styleId=100195195/firstNav=Gallery#

thanks in advance for your help!

  1. it would be cheaper just to replace the whole thing if you take it to the dealer they will charge u about 300 to replace the whole thing and the problem still might come back but if you replace it with an aftermarket receiver you can resolve the problem completely because after market receivers use screens that have protecters so the  screen will last longer. you can spend anywhere from 100 to 300 on a new one only problem is finding a place were they will do a good job installing it for you, if you dont know how to do it yourself.
