  1. don't listen to those guys answers above me

vacuum gage won't work, its not accurate enough

    you need a manometer

you can buy one from Motion Pro for $125

or you can make ur own with a yardstick, 1/4" clear plastic tubing, compressor oil, and zip ties, those parts will cost you less than $4

go to www.sportbikes.com and do a search on how to make a homemade manometer and they will give you instructions how to make one and use one and ur bike will run sooooo smooth you will be amazed

  2. all you need is a bank of 4 vacume gauges..  they hook into the carbs (theres a small tube that has a rubber cap on)..

1 for each carbie...   then adjust them so there all the same...

try googeling it...  bound to be a site that tells you how..

the tubes are close to the engine ,on the carb throat.. they allow you to read the vacume each carb is pulling...

    try this site..

  3. Its definately not a job for a beginner.

I wouldnt even attempt it, myself, its a prick of a job.

you need to remove the fuel tank, hook up a supply of fuel to the bike, then buy a specialised syncing tool, connect that to the carbs, and then adjust them until the meters in are all the same.

This is one job that is worth the workshops charge to have it done professionally. Without the meter you would be flying blind and wasting your time.

  4. Take it to a motorcycle mechanic. It's not really a do it yourself type of job.
