I have a 2004 road glide, it takes 5 minutes for the oil pressure to register on the gauge idiot light also on

no ticking noise while idling. oil and filter have been changed. oil pressures goes up to 50 pounds when running 70-80. if it was the gauge why would the idiot light come on also?

Because they probably work off of the same sensor. If you're not hearing any noises that would indicate no oil pressure I would say that the sensor is shot.
