does volkwagen have the thing that all conveters have an 80,000 mile warranty?

  1. Your warranty HAS to cover it. In fact, they've just extended their warranty on the catalytic converter specifically to 100K.  


  2. i don't think there is warranty. you can be able to get it changed for free if you do  regular maintenance at the dealer. I'm not sure though. look on ebay to get a catalytic converter for a cheaper price. its going to cost you more money at the dealership. Dont through away your old catalytic converter becuase you can sell it on ebay to have it recycled.

    Volkswagen even extended it to 120,000 with certain models  

  4. All vehicles sold in the US have a 8 year 80,000 mile warranty on most emmision related parts, and the cat. convertor is one that is covered so dont let the dealer jerk you around.

  5. this would be covered under your EMISSIONS warranty.  

    if you have the owner's manual for your car, there is most likely a section that will give you all the info you need.
