  1. alternate I use is to leave battery 1 on but close battery 2. That way, worst case scenario is that you have one dead battery when you come back rather than 2 almost dead ones!

  2. Mike b is right that something is draining the batteries, but a battery isolator switch only stops the symtom, it doesn't eliminate the problem.  With the key off, and all devices shut off, your battery should show a draw of less than .5 amp.  The biggest culprits of this  are sensor style bilge pumps, and marine stereos. use an ammeter, and pull each fuse for each circuit until you notice a drop in amperage.  Battery switches are great, but make sure your bilge pump is wired direct to one of the batteries.  A dead battery is better than a sunk boat.

  3. did you leave the bilge pump on

get a abttery switch and turn it off when your not using it

  4. Something in the electrical system is draining the batteries.

You need to install a battery cutout switch that completely disconnects the batteries from the boat during storage.  Would also be a good idea to run a trickle charges on the batteries when the boat is not in use.
