I have a 220 volt 4hp motor that got wet. It hums and shuts off. Could it be the capacitor?.?

I cleaned and dryed it out. I cant find anything visibly wrong. How do I test the capacitor? Thanks

  1. If you don't have a meter to test this it would be easier to try another capacitor, they are not that expensive $10-20.00
