  1. pi x radius squared x 4'= 13,535 gallons

15oz of 12.5% sodium hypochlorite, pool chlorine equals 1ppm

Super chlorinate to 10x free chlorine when sun is off the pool.

    You're welcome!!

  2. The way you wrote your dimensions is very misleading.  Is it 4.4" (four and four tenths inches, about the same as the width of your hand?) OR is it four FEET and four tenths of an inch?  OR is it 4 feet and 4 inches (which is my assumption about what you meant).

Next, you must make all measurements in the same units.  4 feet 4 inches has mixed units (feet and inches).  4 inches is the same as 1/3 of a foot or 0.333 feet.  Therefore, in my example I changed the 4 feet 4 inches into 4.333 feet.

In order to determine volume, you must have three dimensions, the length (yours apparently is 24 feet), the depth (your's is apparently 4.333 feet and the width. You did not provide the width.

Once you get the width, you multiple 24 X 4.333 X [width] together which will give you the number of cubic feet in your pool.

Since one cubic foot of water holds 7.481 gallons, simply multiply the volume by 7.481.

Your problem will look like this:

    24 x 4.333 x width x 7.481 = ___ gallons.

    104 x 7.481 x width = ____ gallons

       (note:  I rounded the answer of 24 x 4.333 from 103.992 to 104)

    778 x width = gallons

So, all you have to do is find the width (in feet ONLY), substitute that number for the word "width" and multiply that number times 778 like in the line above.
