  1. All of the above are good answers.  If your not desperate for money and can afford to, my suggestion would be to hold onto it until the economy turns around.  Right now the market is flooded with boats that the owners can't get the money the boat is worth!

  2. get someone who knows what they're doing to give it a once over (the same way you would inspect a car before buying it 2nd hand) to make sure it's in sound condition. give it a cleaning if necessary. advertise it in your local paper, billboards at the mall, spread the word among friends, family and neighbors.. then they can spread the word and soon enough you will have interested buyers. I don't know how it goes with boats.. but maybe look into your local boat laws or whatever as to whether you need to do anything about transferring ownership if it is licensed and registered.

  3. Good luck.  Boats are getting harder to sell these days.  I would give it a good waxing and cleaning so that if anyone stops to see it; "the first impression"  will sell or not sell a boat.  If it looks well taken care of, you will have a good chance of selling it.

  4. Suggestion for what? Price?

    Advertising?

I would service and detail the boat so it's presentable, and stick it on ebay with a reserve price.

If you don't know how much to ask for it, go to www.nada.com, check boat trader magazines, use the internet search, or have the boat appraised.

  5. Clean & service it before listing it.
