  1. ye

  2. Yes hatchlings can also eat em too.. mine i is 17 inches and it eats twice a week

  3. yeah, baby ones

  4. I would say yes it could as well as quite a few other things of the mammal variety.

  5. yes

  6. I would go with rat pups...if its too big your snake will usually not even try it..or he will kill it and leave it there..you should kinda be able to tell what he can handle by the size of his head...if you cant then take him to a rep store and ask what they suggest...its kinda hard to say without seeing it..balls can be two foot and skinny or two foot and fat .. like i saidf it really depends on the size of his head.

  7. A 24" inch python can certainly eat hopper, but you would have to feed multiples in one feeding. It is healthier for your python to get a single meal that is adequate for his size as it will have less material that he can't digest.

To know what size of prey your ball should be getting, use a tape measure and know the girth of your pet at his widest point. The rodent you get should be about that size.

A 24" ball python should be starting on small-medium rats already, but I can't tell you exactly because what I consider a pup or a small rat may not be the same at your local store.

  8. A two foot ball python can eat much larger prey items. Rat pups are the best, as they have a higher bone density and less fat and fur. You could, if you can find them, feed crawler size rat pups. They are not quite small rat size.

If you are feeding hoppers, you would have to feed about 5 of them to give that snake what it needs. You could feed 1 or 2 pups and have a healthier snake.

** a snake can and will eat something 10x the diameter of it's head.

  9. it should be able to eat prey items a tiny bit larger than the thickest part of your snake.  you want to switch to rats (rat pups) as soon as possible.  ball pythons will eventually need to be eating rats as adults.  i made the mistake of waiting to get my snakes on rats and now as adults they wont eat rats so i have to feed them 3 extra large mice instead of 1 small rat...

  10. Yes he should be able to eat hoppers

    Good Luck
