Question:

I have a 2ohm stable amp and a 2ohm dvc comp sub. can i connect each voice coil to each channel?

i have a 2 channel amp that is 4000w max 2400 rms @2ohm x 2 my sub is 4800w max and 2400rms dvc i had it set at 1ohm and it hit hard i put it up to 4ohms and it dont hit as hard i would like to keep it a 2ohm and get the most out of my amp and sub but i dont know if i can just wire each voice coil individualy to each channel. some one please let me know

  2. Not wise. The slightest difference in power between the coils will cause uneven heating of the coils and cause them to warp.

  3. you can, and i have,...just make sure the settings are indentical for each side...use a DMM.
