My wife has a Macbook Pro bought mid 2007. Her Wi-fi can accept 802.11a/b/g/n. We need a router that can talk to my PC(it does not have Wi-Fi) and can send out 5Ghz frequency. Anyone know where I can find that?

  1. Well, why not just add a multiband AP to your unit, turn off the internal radio?  Dlink has a nice one in the DWL-7100AP

That way you preserve your "modem" etc. Your computer can just plug in to the current 2wire, so can the AP and everything is still on the same network.

You might just need to change the channel on the router. They can be changed from the admin interface and usually there will be one that isn't being interfered with by the monitor!

Just a thought.  The 2wires default login is usually

    http://gateway.2wire.net

You can get the manual at http://2wire.com
