  1. Nope. I'd say a 10 gallon would be the minimum if you want a dwarf gourami pair.

You could keep a betta in a 3 gallon, or maybe some ghost shrimp or a snail, but that's about it.

  2. A 3 gallon tank isn't really big enough for any fish to live properly.  It won't hold a cycle and would need to be cleaned out no less than once a week totally.  Most fish get terribly stressed by being caught and moved constantly. You could keep a dwarf frog or two in there.

  3. No Gouramis for you!

    LOL!

Most of them need 50 gallons.  Even dwarfs aren't truely happy in anything smaller than 20.

With a 3, get a betta.  There are undergravel filters and "micro mini" filters now that do make water condition healthy in small sizes.  Get one.

They also need heat and MEAT diets.  (no fish flakes)

    Other options:

2-3 Zebra OR Leopard danios (not both).  They're small fish, and need to be kept in groups of the same type.  Again, filtration, heat and proper diet are essential.

    Cheers.

  4. Sorry but 3 gallons is no where near enough room for two Gouramis not even one.

In a 3 gallon your possibilities are extremely limited.

    Some options are:

    -one betta

-one dwarf puffer ( really interesting and lively fish and a personal favorite) http://www.dwarfpuffers.com/

-3 african dwarf frogs ( fun little guys to watch swim around)                        http://aquaticfrogs.tripod.com/id13.html

    -3 or 4 tetras

I hope you find what your looking for! :)

  5. No you can not get the gouramis because they will be extremely cramped but you can however get a male or female betta.

  6. nooooo, gouramis need big spaces but...

if you want gourami family a paradise fish or two female bettas... or one male... the great thing about these two types of fish are that they can take smaller spaces and actually are part of the anabantid family, which is a type of fish that is able to "breath" air as well as "breath" in the water...

Also buy a book and don't put all the fish I suggested together!

  7. its a little small for two gouramis sorry. that is as small as you can go for a pretty male betta. i got one of those and they are very easy just get a book about them, a filter, a heater, and then go from there...or just read the book first. you can also get two maybe three neon tetras...i also have those and those are so cute...or u can get a snail but those have no point unless you have a fish. do NOT get a goldfish...u will end up needing a pond or a 50+gallon tank...personal experience...i mean, i love mine but they are VERY hard to take care of once your aware...
