  1. yea totally!

  2. cats see in black and white...and the dry nose thing might be normal but i would ask a vet just to make sure.

  3. Cats can see some color, but not as well as people can. Their vision is geared more toward movement than ours is.

    http://www.veterinaryvision.com/See.htm

"In scientific tests, cats have responded to the colors in the purple, blue, green and yellow range. Red, orange and brown colors appear to fall outside the cats color range and are most likely seen by them as dark to mid shades of gray.

Cats appear to see less saturation in colors than humans, meaning cats do not see colors as intensely or vibrantly. Purple, blue & green appear to be the strongest colors perceived by cats."

    As for the nose:

"A cat’s nose is normally a bit cool, and a little moist. If your cat is acting perfectly fine, a dry nose is nothing to worry about. It could be something as simple as dry climate conditions. If your cat is sick, however, and it’s nose is dry, it could be that the illness that your cat is suffering from has led to dehydration, and a dehydrated cat would certainly be expected to have a dry nose and dry, tacky gums. It’s also possible for a cat that is very sick to have a warm, wet nose; fever could make the nose feel warm, and a respiratory infection, with a runny nose, would certainly keep the nose wet. As you can see, nose temperature and moisture level is not a very precise indicator of a cat’s health."

  4. I'm inclined to disagree with popular opinion and go with an idea that cats can see in color. But we shan't get started on why.

As far as wet/dry nose, it's normal for their noses to go from wet to dry/ warmish to cold. It's an indicator of how they're feeling. Now, if your cat's nose is ALWAYS dry and warm, then I'd take her to the vet, but if, as you say, it's going from wet to dry and back again, then she's probably fine. I know it's kinda vague, and if you have doubts, always take your baby to the vet. Better safe than sorry :-)
