  1. you can put vicks or camphor based products on the ticks where their faces are buried into the child, and they will back out because they won't be able to breathe... it's painless, and easier than trying to snatch them off.

    vaseline might work too.

  2. If he does it while he's asleep will he do it when he's playing? My friend's kid hardly notices anything when she concentrates on a toy. Or you could make a game of it. Another friend of mine used to have her grandfather pull ticks off of her, drop it in lighter fluid then drop a match in. She'd sit still just so that she could watch the fire... mind you she isn't all there and that's not safe so probably not a good idea.

  3. DON'T PUT ANYTHING ON IT TO SMOTHER IT! this only agitates the tick  just pull it off if you have to hold him down to get it off go to the sight that i have and read it try not to squeeze the body of it.

  4. uhh... take him to the ER, they'll do it for you and most likely restrain him so you dont have to.

  5. You must get them off him as they carry disease and also suck his blood. Give him benadryl to combat the allergic reaction. You can take your hand and counter clock wise twist them off.  You can also try vaseline, this may smother the tick and he will die or may let go. Also try nail polish or even butter on the tick. You may have to use tweezers if it is buried deep and these other remedies don't work.
