Or could it possibly be the other fish biting at her fins although I have all semi-aggressive fish in the tank, but could this be? Hopefully someone can give me an answer! Thanks! :)

  1. Angel fish are really prone to fin rot and ick.  You can purchase a medication for them at PetSmart. I forget the name of it but it comes in a dark blue bottle with a yellow and green label and smells really minty.  It worked really well when we had angel fish with the same problem.  If you can't locate what I'm describing, there are plenty of medicines for fin rot or you can ask one of the workers to help you find it.

    Good luck with your fish!

  2. first you need to see for sure if it's disease or the other fish. You need to isolate the angel fish from the others. You can buy a divider or put it in another tank. By doing this you will know that if the fins get better, it was the other fish. If it stays the same, it's some sort of disease.

  3. if it's 3 years old it is either dieing of old age or a disease

  4. it is probably the other fish. separate them for a little while and see if it gets better. Good luck!

  5. Hmm, that dosn't sound good at all. Perhaphs she has parasites biting on her fins , do u see small things on her fins? If i were you i would clean the water and perhaphs consult an expert or look online.

If anything keep an eye on the other fishes behavior, it could be them... Make sure she is getting enough to eat and taht teh otehr fish arn't hogging up all the food.

Does she look ill at all or always stays close to the bottom corners? If so it's not a good sign at all.

    Best of luck

  6. Angel fish it is either fin rot and ick both can be treated GOOD LUCK!

  7. Well I doubt that it is an illness. I believe that it is the other fish in the tank. Even if they are semi-aggressive fish are territorial and is you put a new fish in their tank they take that new fish as a threat to either the females or their home. So you should separate your injured fish from your other fish. I hope I helped.

  8. It could be the biting the fins but if ur fish is 3 yrs old then that is extreamly old for a fish. its probably just getting older and its fins are messing up

  9. i think i remember in fifth grade we had angel fish and they had a disease adn their fins looked like that and all the fish died. but i might be wrong, it was a long time ago.

  10. angel fish can live for 10 years and plus as long as they are looked after properly it could be the other fish in the tank that is hurting the angel fish what other fish do you have in the tank please ?
