aggresive towards his son. Pushing him, hitting him, etc. Well last night my son pushed over our dining room chair and it hit my boyfriends son right in the nose. he now has a swollen nose and 2 slightly black eyes. I'm not sure how to make him stop. I think yelling at him would only aggravate him more. Is there any strategies I should use to stop the behavior, or am i out of luck given that my son is autistic? PLEASE help... I might have to move out b/c of this..... I need help,

you can get much information in this website, stay a minute in website and check anyone link at a time, you can aslo get your answer in Google Search in this website, which has helped me alot

  2. It sounds like he wants some attention. Why are you only focusing on this now that he's actually your BF's child? This should be addressed daily and as part of his routine.

Autistic doesn't mean anything. Me and my children are autistic. My children behave differently in certain situations, and much different from each other.

Is your son verbal? If not, then you need to help him figure out how HE wants to communicate.

Your son, not boyfriend should be your first priority. Maybe it's too stressful for him, but he isn't able to tell you. He's also 3, not just autistic.

You're also not going to just make him stop. You have to channel that energy/aggression into something else. For example: as soon as I see that my daughter has had enough of anything, or is getting aggressive, she goes on a platform swing and spins until SHE decides that she is calm and ready to join us again.

  4. your school district should be helping you-mosty programs for chilren with autism have home outreach

the primary method is rewarding him for good behavior at regular intervals (positive reinforcement)

some children with autism do respond to time out(negative reinforcement)

a behavior specialist coudl analyze teh situation and see what may be causing it--

sometimes it is a sensory problem--could be  the range of teh 5 year old's voice-could be how the 5 yera old moves that is aggravating

    could be attention seeking

    could be avoidance

the 5year old could've doen something that you don't know about and the 3 year old feels he is in danger--even if he isn't

  5. Your son may be autistic, but he needs discipline. Do what you need to do to teach him that his actions are not acceptable.

  6. Your son is 3 and he's doing this?? Please seek professional help for him, before it's too late. The older kids get, the harder it is to control them.

I just read a story last night about a 17 year old who murdered his mother with a bat. Kids need discipline, and a correct upbringing!

  7. first u should NOT move out of ur boyfriends house. Next time this happens u need to sit ur son down and explain why wat he did was wrong. U should not yell or punish him though. Moving away from ur boyfriend will only tell ur son that everytime he does something like that its okay and u will take care of it. U should find a counsler for ur son that understands his needs and how to stop this behavior.

  8. talk to him and tell him what he's doing is not right- don't yell, but be kind and firm. Offer rewards to him when he does something correctly or behaves well, or set up some sort of point system in which he can either earn/lose points depending on his behavior and when he gets a certain number of points, he gets a reward (ice cream party, new toy, etc.)

  9. i work w/ special ed kids also with kids with autisim, it sounds like you need to talk to him kindly and offer rewards for good behavior. some deep preasure also helps like wrapping him in a blanket, if this doesn't help try taking him to an early childhood classes or a class for special ed kids and they might be able to help you a whole lot more.

    i hope this helps
