  2. I would say 2-4 females, you need 2 in a 15 gallon and another 5 gallon per gerbil

  3. Don't add any more.

Female gerbils are highly territorial, and even with the split cage method, they will not accept the new gerbil(s) because they are an established pair.

Even if they seem to get along at first, there is a HIGH chance of Declanning later, leading to possibly dead gerbils.

Just allow your girls to have a pretty large home to themselves! They will love it.

My boys are in a 20 gallon long, and I worry it isn't enough space. :]

  4. You say you know about gerbils and breed them.. Shouldnt you know how many??? I would put maybe three of them. You would not want to have too many. Hope this helps! :-)

  5. just your two. you dont want to crowd the cage. dpnt get any more.

  6. i would say only one more. I have 2 female gerbils too and they have a 20 gallon tank. They love to run around becouse gerbils are so active. But once you put all the stuff in like the wheel, toys, (toliet paper tubes and magazine shreds make great toys) and stuff the cage is filled. my rule of thumb is about 10gallons for each gerbil, so they can run, and play.

  7. I agree completely with Kasey's answer. Female gerbils are more territorial and aggressive than males. It's never recommended to introduce new gerbils to an already-established clan. It tends to be harder to put females together than males. Just keep the two you have in their 30 gallon tank. They'll have lots of room to run and play around in.

  8. a  bunch i have 2 in a 10 gallon with alot of room left
