  1. 7.62x51

  2. What does it say on he rifle?

If it says 308 win or 308 winchester then get 308 winchester (7.62x51mm)

Are you sure it is a 308 and not a 303? if it is a 303 then the bullet dia is .311" (Don't ask me why it just is).

    Mr. B

Need a bit more information would be a lot of help. Is it a Remington enfied or an British enfield?

  3. the .308 Remington round is a shortend version of the 30-06.

Nato has designated the .308 as 7.62x39.  The 7.62x54 is a calibre used by the former soviet union.  Wolf ammo, if the case is brass, is great ammo.  If the case is steel, do not use it in auto loading fire arms.  Your enfield b-action will be just fine with the wolf.

  4. if its a nato conversion use 7.62x51 its the same as .308 you may need to get the head space checked before firing commercial 308 ammo as there may be differances between 762nato and commercial 308 cases
