I had poored coolant in the designated area and the resevoiur and seen no signs of leaks in the hoses or at the edges where the gaskets go. I had drove around and parked the car to see any signs and nothing. Though I do find myself putting coolant every four days or less. what might be the problem?

  1. probably a slight leak at a hose connection

  2. could be a bad head or bad head gasket. the coolant could be entering the combustion chamber and there for being turned to steam and exiting through the exhaust. pull the spark plugs. and check them. look for ones that look different form the others usually look cleaner. or a lot darker if the cylinder is not firing

  3. How Many Miles? Overheating?

Try to answer both questions in this one area. 1: The Thermostat is a Major Componant in Controlling the Engine Tempature. If it Sticks Closed, No Coolant  to the temp. Sensor and no Radiator Fan Cycling, Sticks Open, Some Fan Operation but it's a good chance the Engine won't get to "Operating Tempiture" and Fuel Mileage will be lost and Engine Preformance will suffer.

2: If you have to add Coolant to the Radiator & Overflow Tank every other day you have "A Blown Head Gasket or High Pressure Hose or Radiator Leak that only happens Slowly and with the Engine Running at Operating Temp. "Exhaust Smell or Engine Oil in Radiator, Head Gasket". Also Cooling may need to be Flushed/Boiled Out and Coolant (50-50 Mixture of Clean water & Anti-Freeze "Used all Yesr Round" Added) NOTE: Also check for a Bad Radiator cap or Crack at the Bottom of the Overflow Tank.
