  1. What type of fountain is it?

And for all of them, it'll have to be drained completely and left to dry, once you have done this you can make the repairs on the inside where they won't be as noticeable.

And yes, there is stuff you can put on it depending what its made off, go into a pond/water store and ask them as they should be able to advise.

Personally with a marble fountain i've used clear lacquer across the inside which worked.

  2. Try Mighty Putty. That stuff rocks!! I used it to cover a small hole in the siding on the outside of  my garage wall.  So far it has survived two rain storms and it's still there. I'll see how well it stands up to a Midwestern winter soon.

  3. I'd just use duct tape or bubble gum. But there are lots of clear sealants you could use, your hardware store will have a wide selection.

  4. Look for a product called *Thoroseal. It is a waterproof cement based product. You can buy it in a bag to mix with water. Try google *Thoroseal and you should be able to get local distributor. Follow directions, will solve your problem.
