Can you put a LCD TV in front of a window? We have a bay window and want to put our LCD TV in front of it to make more open space in our livingroom. The window is exposed to sun for most of the day. Will this hurt our TV?

  1. Its definitely a possibility.  LCD is a photosensitive material, I guarantee that if the TV gets to hot you will notice that everything will seem alot brighter or even white washed.  This is because its gotten to hot, some TVs have a shut off before this happens some don't.  Any ways I would advise if at all possible don't put it in the window, or at least get it out of direct sun light (a curtain or blinds behind it or something) You also have to keep in mind that the sun light going around it will cause strain on the eyes as you try to focus on the TV and the brighter sun light is hitting your eyes.
